This privacy policy explains how the “Untrack” iOS app (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles your data.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from you. Untrack has no analytics, no accounts, and no background network activity.

How Untrack Works

The app provides two share sheet actions that process URLs locally on your device:

Untrack

• Removes tracking parameters from URLs entirely on your device
• No network requests are made
• Your data never leaves your device

Untrack and expand

• This action sends URLs only to their destination websites to follow redirects
• Uses HEAD requests with a 15-second timeout
• Follows up to 8 redirect levels with cache-busting
• Falls back to the cleaned original URL if expansion fails
• We do not act as a middleman and have no access to the URLs or their destinations

Tracking Parameters Removed

Untrack removes common tracking parameters including but not limited to:

• utm_* parameters (Google Analytics)
• fbclid (Facebook Click ID)
• gclid (Google Click ID)
• igshid (Instagram Share ID)
• And many other tracking identifiers from various analytics and advertising platforms

Changes to this Policy

We may update this privacy policy by posting a new version on this website. You are advised to review this privacy policy periodically for any changes.
